Sense and Sensibility

Many people have their favorite designers for many different reasons.  One that makes it to my personal list is Ermenegildo Zegna.  After taking a look, you will see that they do not create just for the sake of it.  They create with an ultimate end in mind, while yet and still setting forth a line of aspiration in their own right.

In GQ UK’s November 2012 Issue, Chris Kightley gives a closer look at some of Ermenegildo Zegna’s designs with a focus on functionality while still adhering to it’s sophisticated curve.

Keeping within the proper balance of modern and forward classics and the creative pulse of fashion, Ermenegildo Zegna continually proves their staked position and their credibility to those who are closely watching  how designers will set the bar higher.

Good Business

Whether you’re away for business or pleasure, even mixing a bit of both, you can have a classic style and remain in the boundaries of the well travelled gent.

No flip-flops, cargo shorts, or hoodies here- just smart layers of sweaters and blazers.  Mixing in a wardrobe of classic suiting and go-to woven shirts will make for a proper transitioning piece throughout the course of each day.

Making use of a few accessories like an easy briefcase, a summer scarf, or a simple belt and shades will put you in the proper stance and will never have you in the wrong.

Burn Notice

There’s a word going around town about you.  But it’s all good notes.   You keep it fresh without a sight of a dull moment in the heat of Summer.

Poolside perfection has been brought to a new level with swimwear from designers like Paul Smith, DSquared2, and Versace.  This editorial only proves that less can make more of a bold statement.  Just pair it with your favorite shades and you’re done.

Get Some Shine

Feel a glow?  The summer sun is a good excuse to let others get their eyes on you.  And with good reason.  You’re able to get every summer staple working for you, even by the water. Who can resist stealing a glance or a stare?

Denim shorts, a two button blazer, a neck-scarf and so much more breaks out into the heat to raise up your cool.  But there’s no facade here, it’s apparent that it’s all a natural gift.  Basque and relax knowing that you’ve got this all figured out.  There’s no way you’re losing.

So Shady

Chris Marx shows us detail approved apparel while wearing some cool shades.  He has a new perspective and we’re just hoping to catch a glimpse of what he sees.  Even so, the apparel is enough to get a slight sight of true luxury.

Out To Lunch

There nothing like hanging with your best gents on an easy day.

It’s time well spent being stylish.  There may not be a set agenda, but we’ll go where the wind blows.  It’s okay to loiter around while we enjoy a milkshake or just talk about an uneventful week.  The only thing that matters is that you look good while doing it.

Summer Sun

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Stay stylish by having your eye-wear make as much of a shout as your apparel.  Balanced luxe will tip the scales in your favor by bringing you to a style status that all will want to reach.  They may not see what you’re looking to, but it’s clear that you’re going in a desirable direction.

Don’t be surprised if you gain some followers.

Top Tier: Shine On

Level 37‘s Top Tier pick is the Dolce & Gabbana Metal Aviators

We like aviators for their versatile shape.  They usually, more often than not, fit any face type and provides the most coverage from blaring sunlight.

Dolce & Gabbana Metal Aviators

Designed for the light, they aren’t treated as normal eye-wear and made with the same lens shape as reading glasses.  The sloped edges on this pair brings an extra detail with a spin on the traditional shape of aviators without sacrificing the classic oblong ends which reach the top of one’s cheekbones.  The brigde has a natural outward curvature instead of a design that planks straight across the face.

Lightweight and subtle frames are on the comeback from sporty-looking, wide, thick, colored frames which shout rather than stand in their position with dignity. Gold frames keep the covetable factor of this accessory at a luxe level without bending the lines of style.
